Dev east is a one-day not for profit event run by the community for the community.
Thank you to all of our community partners and volunteers – without your evangelism and effort we simply couldn’t do this. Collaboration is key when putting on any community event and we are so overwhelmed by the generosity and support we have found within the community which signals to us that there is a need for events such as dev east to take place in Suffolk.
So why are we doing this?
Quite simply, we were asked to and the support has been amazing. We are very excited to bring this event to life and we hope that you will enjoy what looks to be a fantastic first event.
Richard Astbury & Emily-Jayne Crittenden are the main organisers but are supported by key members of the local Ipswich Development Community.
What do we want to do?
We want to keep it simple. Traditionally conferences have had exhibitors, reasonably long in depth talks and a keynote speaker or two.
We’ve kept the keynotes but we’ve asked that sessions be 30 minutes long and that the theme is application, inspiration or a challenge. Topics should be development related in the software space but as the industry spills into every region of industry these days, be prepared to be surprised, engaged and inspired.
We have been inspired by TED & TEDX style conferences and as such, we would like to deliver engaging and inspirational content in our industry about all sorts of topics.
How much does it cost and what do I get?
Tickets are £10 for the entire day, that is 11 speakers plus drinks and lunch.
If you have any dietary requirements please let us know and we will ensure that there is something suitable for you on the day.
